Here a "youngling" challenges me to a duel...7 year olds can be quite a challenge, and I must put him in his place, haha!

Yep...victory is mine once again! Ready to face my next fearsome challenger, probably a 3 year old with pinkeye! Hahahahha!

More pix from CIV...CLICK ON PIX TO ENLARGE! :)

YES! This was taken after the Bounty Hunter Costuming Discussion Panel...the green-armoured guy (Boba Fett) is probably the next costume I'm going to do..my first big SW costume project...involves buying a fiberglass helmet, armour, etc. and painting, weathering it all yourself...sweet! Notice the jetpack on the guy to the left...it's all handmade of wood, fiberglass, etc...!

This is Jango Fett...well, a guy in Jango Fett armour...it's too pretty, IMO, and I'll be going with the dirtier Boba Fett armour!

Ummm...it appears that Rick probably took this picture looking down an Imperial Officer's shirt! Hahaha..

Prototype ships used in planning the original SW...from the Lucasfilm Archives! :)

This was on Saturday morning, and who welcomes us to the shuttle bus stop outside the hotel? Why I do believe it's Jango Fett and his precious son Boba (on the left).

Here I'm talking about the intricacies of the Force with a fellow Jedi...or maybe we're making fun of the losers behind us who didn't dress up! Hehe!

Great...stormtroopers looking to take my droids! I bet I can talk 'em out of it...

Uh, no...uh, these aren't the droids you're looking for officer! No luck..they take my droids (well, it was actually a droid badge, part of a game where they take your badge, you get a raffle ticket in exchange for GREAT prizes...I got nothing... boohoo!

This is the exact costume that Carrie Fisher wore in Return of the Jedi! How cool is that? Notice the cut-board (or whatever they call it...), it says "REVENGE" of the Jedi...hehe, well, REVENGE is not the way of the Jedi, so they changed the name to "RETURN" of the Jedi right before release in 1983!

Pix from first 2 days of Celebration IV

The Day has finally arrived! Even got the ol' laptop working.

Here I am at ABIA with Yoda after a couple of Matt's El Rancho breakfast tacos.

I'm SO sleepy...ran into other SW Celebration travellers at the airport and had a nice chat...don't know how they'd get the idea I'm a SW fan!

Met a guy named Wyatt on the shuttle bus to the hotel, we let him use our room to change into his stormtrooper armour (he couldn't check in until 3pm).

Yay! I'm finally here! This is the first floor of convention center...this place is HUGE and filled with nothing but Star Wars goodness...mmmm....smell the aroma! Hehe..

Here I am with the R2D2 Mailbox...and my CIV goodie bag. Also a picture at the Lego display...R2D2 and C3Po built of Legos...wonder if these guys will fit in my suitcase!?
Will post more later today, the connection here is very slow, and it takes forever to upload these!

May the Force be with you!

I can hardly wait...!

Well, just a few days until Star Wars Celebration IV in Los Angeles begins!

Hmmm...do I have everything in order? Costume...lightsaber... check!
Reservations for flight, hotel, shuttle service...check!
Badges for the convention...check!

A nicely working laptop to keep track of added events on the schedule, monitor my (over-) spending, play music, etc? Able to carry it throughout the convention to update my new blog? NO!

I've been having problems with the ol' laptop, a Dell C600 (don't laugh) and can't seem to get the battery to charge, it's like it's totally dead even though it shows it's charging...so, I upgraded to Windows XP from Windows 98 (haha!) and bought a new power cord, to no avail, battery just won't charge!

NOOOOOOO!

Probably will buy a new battery tomorrow, but that's 60.00 less I'll have to spend next week, eek! I REALLY need that 60.00 limited edition SW Wookiee Ceramic Hair Straightener!
